Legal Consultant

We are seeking a talented Legal Consultant that has a strong background in compliance, due diligence, and government relations, especially in industries like property, real estate, F&B, and manufacturing. 

Having experience handling OSS processes, BPOM approvals, zoning, and building permits is a big plus.



Job Description


Due Diligence & Compliance

  • Conduct legal due diligence on land, properties, and business acquisitions.
  • Review and assess regulatory risks for new and existing businesses.
  • Ensure compliance with Indonesian business laws, including labor, corporate, tax, and industry-specific regulations.
  • Coordinate LKPM (Investment Activity Report) preparation and submission to BKPM, ensuring clients meet periodic reporting obligations.


Government Relations & Licensing

  • Engage with government bodies (OSS, BKPM, BPOM, ATR/BPN, local zoning authorities) to secure permits, resolve disputes, and streamline approvals.
  • Advocate and negotiate on behalf of clients to push back on excessive regulatory demands where necessary.
  • Manage OSS licensing processes, including KBLI code selection and business legality.


Client Coordination & Documentation

  • Coordinate meetings and communications with clients to understand requirements, manage document requests, and ensure smooth progress on legal matters.
  • Work closely with clients to collect necessary supporting documents and maintain complete, accurate client records.
  • Provide proactive updates and advice to clients on the status of their cases, permits, and compliance matters.


Permits & Regulatory Approvals 

  • Oversee the end-to-end process of building permits (IMB/PBG), BPOM product registrations, land zoning approvals, and other critical regulatory approvals.
  • Collaborate with notaries, legal experts, and consultants to ensure seamless document processing and compliance with local regulations.
  • Stay updated on changing regulations and industry trends to provide proactive guidance and strategic advice to clients.


Legal & Contractual Advisory

  • Draft and review contracts, business agreements, and regulatory documents.
  • Provide legal opinions on corporate structuring, foreign investment laws, and operational compliance.
  • Maintain accurate legal records and documentation for business clients.​

Qualifications

  • Fluent in both English and Indonesian (spoken and written) to effectively communicate with international and local clients.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are welcome.
  • Strong understanding of Indonesian business regulations, OSS, BPOM, zoning, and building permits.
  • Experience in property, real estate, F&B, or manufacturing industries is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to engage with government processes, challenge excessive regulations, and navigate bureaucratic systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Strong legal drafting and research skills.
  • Experience working with notaries and legal professionals in multiple regions of Indonesia (especially Bali).
